primer lot and the assembly of that lot into cartridges

exceeds three years, or if the M28 primers have been subjected

to adverse conditions, however brief, at any time since

previous tests, the applicable lot shall be subjected to and

must satisfactorily pass the check test for deterioration

specified in 4.4.4, immediately before the M28 primer lot is

assembled into cartridges (see 6.21).

3.15.1 Non-functioning. The head assembly shall not

function by an applied energy of 47.52 inch-ounces minimum

(min).

3.15.2 Functioning. The head assembly shall function by

applied energy of 159.20 inch-ounces maximum (max).
